Bronze Figurine Restoration: Many conservators specialize in materials other than metals and collaborate with us for our expertise. Sotheby’s New York was restoring objects damaged in a Fifth Avenue penthouse fire, and sent us forty objects which had been damaged by heat, water, smoke and concussion.

This Art Nouveau bronze female dancer had sustained some physical damage,but was mostly affected by the dense, hot smoke. We carefully cleaned each surface section, removing the soot without affecting the underlying painted and patinated surfaces.
